Branding & Web

As Radix Labs prepared to reposition their no-code lab automation platform, they wanted to shift the spotlight from machines to the people using them. Their software already gave scientists powerful drag-and-drop tools and the website redesign was an opportunity to make the experience feel more colourful and human.

We started with a deep dive into lab workflows and machines to understand how researchers would interact with Radix. Moving past their original grayscale branding, I developed a vibrant new color system representing each product silo, paired with refined logos.

To emphasize the people behind the science, we introduced a cast of illustrated “peeps”, scientists in motion, immersed in research. These figures became the core of the visual language, embodying Radix’s mission to make lab automation more approachable.

While building the website, I created a series of Lottie animations that demonstrated Radix’s tools in action from protocol creation to workflow scheduling. The scroll animation showed how Radix integrates seamlessly into the research process. Having spent plenty of late nights in labs myself, I wanted the design to remind scientists that Radix is here to make their work easier.
